But there is a little (free) trick that can make a Chromebook that will rival a Windows Laptop without buying a lot of add on software, but a system that will work for college paper preparation and handle all of the latest tasks watching videos and playing music and games.

Enter Bodhi Linux. It’s free, aside from the time a user invests in the learning curve. It’s pretty. And it has Libre Office (free) that works every bit as good as Microsoft products that cost hundreds of dollars. It also permits the installation of Chrome, which restores the Chromebook to its original purpose in life.
