Today:   My name is Carl Gluck. I am a son, husband, father, step-father, and grand-father. I have a wife, 2 children, 5 step-children, 5 grand-children, 2 dogs and a cat. I live in Burke, Virginia, not far away from Washington DC. I work as a Senior Engineer with Carl T. Jones Corporation in Springfield, Virginia. I am a Professional Broadcast Engineer and technical consultant. I have an FCC General Class Radiotelephone License and an Extra Class Amateur Radio License, KE0GP.

1952:
I was born on February 6, 1952, in Sacramento, California, to Robert William and Gloria Wanda Gluck. My first home was in Carmichael, California. I was the third of four children (two sisters and a brother). My mom was a home-maker and my dad worked (civil service) at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento. When I was in the third grade we moved to Orangevale, California, another suburb of Sacramento.

1965:
My career choice is Broadcast Communications. I started working in 1965 at a non-commercial radio station in Sacramento, KEBR (FM). I began as a volunteer part-time board operator and worked my way up to Program Director. In the 45 years since then I have worked as a radio station General Manager, a Regional Manager over other station managers, a Chief Engineer, a Regional Chief Engineer, in a Corporate setting as a Vice President of Technical Research, and in a consulting firm as a Senior Engineer.

1970:
On January 30th, 1970, I married my first wife, Sharlene (Fuller). I graduated from High School that year from Bella Vista High in Orangevale. My wife grew up in the nearby community of Citrus Heights (she attended Casa Robles High School). We started our married life in a small apartment in Citrus Heights. From there we moved a few months later to another apartment closer to my work in Sacramento. We bought our first house a year or two later. It was on Morse Avenue in Sacramento. In 1976 we bought our second house, this time in Rancho Cordova down along the American River (another suburb of Sacramento). My son David was born in 1970. My daughter, Christina, was born in 1972. During the last couple of years we lived in Sacramento my sister, Lois (who is seven years younger than me), lived in our home.
